Our year abroad: the start of our trip

I am very excited for our year abroad because I love traveling. I am also pretty sad, because I won’t get to see my friends for a year, and do things like play hockey and play at the beach.

But… I am going to try so many different foods! We are also learning Nepali, because we are spending most of our time in Kathmandu, Nepal, an estimated time of about 6-8 months in total. At the end of our trip, we don’t know where we’re going. Maybe China, maybe Japan, but we don’t know. (P.S: I really want to go to Japan.)

There are so many things I am excited for. I am excited for the unknown ending of our trip, because we will be going somewhere we don’t know, and we might go to Japan!!! I am really excited to go to the Bengali Sweet House, right next to where dad used to live in New Delhi, India. I really want to go to Sri Lanka, because I love swimming. Especially in warm water. I am also amazed by the Singapore airport, which has a waterfall and a rainforest inside of the building!

Asia is very different from our little hometown in Alaska, but I just wanted to jot down a few of the ways: Very hot, different cultures, lots of cities, different wildlife, diverse languages, and large populations. And those are only some ways that they differ.

Not that long ago, I got a haircut. To be exact, I got a ‘fade’ (Shown below). I got it because it is going to be really, really hot. Thanks for following along!
